Timer on dryer stopped functioning

Saw the AppliancePartsPros.com repair video on YouTube. Unfortunately removing the control panel on the Kenmore dryer was different than the video, so it took a while to figure this out. Once I had the back of the panel exposed the YouTube video provided an excellent description of how to change out the old timer with the new. This took less than five minutes.

Timer had bad sectors

Watched the video and it showed and all to easy fix, but was enough to give food for thought. So a few extra skrews out here and there and got it fixed. Works fine now.

Dryer would turn off during drying cycle (didn't matter which one) and would start immediately with a push of the start button sometimes it only needed one restart other times many

All symptoms were being relayed to me as best as my daughter could, but were still pretty vague. I had contacted an Appliance Parts Pros tech expert over chat, and they determined this was most likely to be the problem area. I got the part in very quickly, and replaced it within just a few minutes (the part was a direct and exact fit, but was a slightly different design). The dryer now works perfectly. This was the second dryer I've repaired, to go along with three washers and one refrigerator, all belonging to myself or family members, and all with parts from Appliance Parts Pros. Every part has worked perfectly, and was shipped very fast. I recommend them highly.
