David G Port Orange , FL February 01, 2017 It would not run First of all, I checked to make sure everything else was good on the Maytag Dryer. And per chance I cycled the timer a few times and got it to work. But as soon as I shut it off it never ran again. That was until I found a timer at a discounted (non OEM) site. And when I put it in it ran but the timer advance was not working, And when you opened the door and it would not shut off. So I did some research and the model # will get you the part, but the serial # will get you the right part. So I called up Appliance Parts Pro. And they found the right part for my "Series" of Maytag dryer So I ordered it that morning and I received it the next Day! I put it in. (it was Quite simple to install, less than 5 minutes.) And started right up and everything works as it should. Thank-You, David Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers

John H Moore , SC October 14, 2016 Appliance: Maytag Electric Dryer MDE6657BYW Dryer would not run First called a "repairman" who looked at everything but the timer on the dryer. He informed me that a new timer for my dryer was not available because they were discontinued. Said I would have to replace the dryer. Not satisfied, and $75 service fee poorer, I went online to Appliance PartsPros.com and found the exact timer I needed. Received 2 days after ordering. Watched the APP.com video on how to replace the timer. Followed your instructions and replaced timer in under 15 minutes. Timer runs just like new! Second time I have ordered parts from APP and they are great. You guys have the parts and ship very quickly. I will recommend you to anyone. Read More... Keith W Knoxville , TN September 06, 2016 Appliance: Maytag Electric Dryer MDE6400AYW Dryer was hard to start once started timer would nto advance Replaced timer. Lots of confusion on which timer is needed for this dryer (Maytag MDE6400AYW) so do your research. First timer was not the correct part, returned it. I was told I would need to change out the wiring harness for the entire dryer to make the second timer work. Decided to try just installing the timer which worked. So no need to change out the wiring harness. I will not the super fast shipping of parts which was very nice. Read More...
