How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6016367 / WPW10177827 Washer Timer Control

Found replacement timer at Appliances Parts Pros. Ordered on a Sunday (as all appliances fail on the weekend) and with expedited shipping got the part on Tuesday morning. Video from Appliance Parts was very helpful and entire replacement took less than 15 minutes. I also purchased a timer for a dryer earlier and had the same positive experience. 

Replace new timer and machine is working great. 

Changed timer 

Replaced it my self with one I ordered from Appliance Parts Pros. I watched your "How To" remove and replace my washer timer assy. which was very helpful and well done. 

I purchased a new Timer for the washing machine. by viewing the tutorial video for the item, which take you through a step by step process, I was abet change the the timer with no problem. 

Replaced timer 

Replaced timer and sensor switch. It may not have needed both the timer and sensor switch but based on Q and A on the APP website I replaced both parts which corrected the malfunction. The parts were delivered the day after being ordered. 

I replaced the washer timer control. The video instructions made the replacement easy and it required less than one hour. The washer ran fine for about 4 days then quit in the wash cycle and would not restart. i called AppliancePartsPro on Wednesday and got a warranty replacment timer on Friday. It only took about 15 minutes to replace this time. The washer works fine again and I'm happy with the quick response to the problem. 

Replaced timer control. 

Installed cam agitator repair kit into agitator. The only issue was a cap inside the agitator that had accumulated softener residue and was not easy to remove. I decided that it could be replaced if I broke it and a good yank resolved the issue. There was no damage to the cap. The rest was easy and exactly as shown in the video.
