How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6006181 / WP2198661 Top Coupling

The Whirlpool refrigerator ice maker is a good design. The 8 32 screw was a problem I could not remove it with the thread lock it prevented me from unscrewing it. Therefore I replaced the shaft the splined hub and spacer washers. It seems to work fine now. 

Replaced necessary parts. 

Installed a new ice cam, that was missing from the bottom of the ice cube reservoir in my freezer. 

I ordered multiple parts to fix my washer and refrigerator. Still waiting on a metal washer for my ice maker but the washer pump repair was as easy as the video explained and parts arrived on time. Took all of 30 min to swap the pumps with the proper tools and runs even more quiet than before. Very thankful for AppliancePartsPros and their service. Not sure what it would have cost for a repairman to come out to fix but I'm sure I saved a lot of money! 

Replaced drive shaft, ice bucket coupling, washer, screw and seal. AppliancePartPros.com had great illustrated parts lists to help me locate the parts easily. They had how-to videos that showed the steps to replace the parts. The prices were good and delivery was 2-days. I felt so well-prepared that I installed that parts on a hot summer night after a 12-hour workday and completed the job without complications. Thank you!
