Purchased new "Actuator." Watched YouTube video (scanning and without sound) several days before doing work. Replaced Actuator as per video. Two heads-up items:
1-The control wiring ribbon unplugs from the front plate/control button panel. This may have been covered in the video and I missed it because I wasn't paying close attention. Until I realized this, holding all of the parts together while removing the inner plate was a challenge. The ribbon easily unplugs from and reconnects to the front plate.
2-The water tube slips through the hole in the inner chassis. It can be pushed out from underneath using an object about the size of a pencil. Again, this may have been covered in the video but I assumed that it was a press-fit connection over a fitting and spent time trying to uncouple it when all that was needed was sliding it out.
Everything else went extremely smoothly.
Having to make this repair is a bit annoying since the failure happened at an obvious weak point on the assembly. I'm amazed the the part lasted as long as it did (+/- 10 years).
