Ronald L Stanfield , NC June 11, 2015 Broken timer knob and striped post on timer Un-plugged Dryer from wall receptacle. Pulled dryer from wall and removed top back plate with Phillip screwdriver. Held up new timer next to existing timer and switched wiring to new timer unit. Removed old timer unit by releasing tension stop on old unit, then rotating timer to the left. Placed new timer up to post and turned new timer to the right and it snapped in place. Replaced top back plate then plugged Dryer cord back in to wall receptacle. From front of Dryer placed metal clip in new knob and placed knob onto D-shaped shaft on timer. Did use needle nose pliers to swap out wires on timer.
