Chris N Charlotte , NC April 20, 2014 Appliance: General Electric Electric Range JTP86BF3BB Ge Oven Jtp86bf3bb: Burned out oven control. How to replace Oven Control W/Harnes. I ordered in the part from you guys. Took 2 screws off the side of the display cover, pulled the front face off, removed the 4 screws holding the oven control on, unplugged the 2 bulkhead connectors inisde the oven, removed the old board, plugged in the new one, screwed down the new board, put the pannel back in place, installed the two side screws to hold the pannel in, turned the power on, tested the oven. Works perfect! Took me 10 minutes and 7 of that was trying to unplugg the old plugs from the bulkhead connector. Was a very easy project and saved me a ton of money using you guys. Note... The part appears more expensive than other sites, but if you read closely on the others, they dont come with the wiring harness. Yours did, and there was wire damage on the old unit, so a wire harness was a must have!! I would use you guys again in a second! 4 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes
