Wesley M Hoschton , GA May 08, 2015 Appliance: Model JTP86SOH2SS Ge microwave oven combo jtp86soh2ss (jtp86sh2ss) does not heat over 100 degrees / broil also does not work Used youtube videos to show me what components to test for diagnosis and my appliances electrical schematic located by removing the control surface beside the microwave (two screws to the right when you open the microwave door). Make sure breakers are off. I tested components for continuity and resistance. I ultimately did not get a voltage reading between the Bake and L2 nor the Broil and L2 located on the oven control. A visual inspection also showed a scorching on the L2 location and the wire at the end was whitened when it shoud be red. Indicates a short i believe. So I was pretty sure the oven control needed to be replaced. Removed the silver trim around the microwave and removed the control surface to access the oven control board. Disconnected the two plastic multi-wire connectors and unscrewed old oven control. The piece purchased here came with new wire harness so I just connected the new wiring to the plastic connector under microwave and screwed in new oven control. Replaced control surface and trim, turned on breakers. Set oven to to 250 degree temp and success. Heated up to correct temp. Chris N Charlotte , NC April 20, 2014 Appliance: General Electric Electric Range JTP86BF3BB Burned out oven control I ordered in the part from you guys. Took 2 screws off the side of the display cover, pulled the front face off, removed the 4 screws holding the oven control on, unplugged the 2 bulkhead connectors inisde the oven, removed the old board, plugged in the new one, screwed down the new board, put the pannel back in place, installed the two side screws to hold the pannel in, turned the power on, tested the oven. Works perfect! Took me 10 minutes and 7 of that was trying to unplugg the old plugs from the bulkhead connector. Was a very easy project and saved me a ton of money using you guys. Note... The part appears more expensive than other sites, but if you read closely on the others, they dont come with the wiring harness. Yours did, and there was wire damage on the old unit, so a wire harness was a must have!! I would use you guys again in a second! Andrew M Windham , ME February 13, 2016 Appliance: Model KENMORE 911.47813201 The oven was not heating at all everything else worked fine i checked the control board and found a relay that had burned up I purchased the control board on a Sunday night and it arrived Tuesday with standard shipping. Replaced the board and it works great. It only took about 15 minutes to do and the hardest part was getting the old molex connectors disengaged to be able to plug in the new control board. I ended up taking the front trim off so I could get at the tabs on the connector from underneath.
