Richard L Wind Gap , PA June 19, 2014 Appliance: Model 51262101 Compressor would not run unit had been in abandoned apartment for 6 years Measured voltage at relay contacts and saw 120VAC. Replaced relay still did not start. Check voltage again at relay leads and found 0VAC. Checked voltage at control board and found 120VAC at the appropriate contacts. Pulled on power lead and found a mouse or squirrel had eaten through the wire. It probably made intermittent contact when I measured the voltage the first time. Stripped wire and made telephone splice. Soldered splice and used shrink tubing to insulate it. Live and learn. 1 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes
