Janet C Monticello , FL July 18, 2020 Appliance: Electrolux Freezer LFFH20F3QWD Electrolux Freezer Lffh20f3qwd: The compressor was not working and the fan was not working. How to replace Run Capacitor. I tested the fan outside of the freezer with an adapted direct plug-in cord and it ran fine. I tested the controller tsd it was within the good range along with the run capacitor and it tested good as well. I then tested the compressor resistance, it tested good, although the compressor could have been mechanically bad, it wasn't and I don't know of a way to test for it. I found a youtube video and tested the defrost control which seemed to be bad. Then I tested the control-temperature control and it seemed to be bad too. Turing the defrost timer and it did nothing. My wife then wanted to get a new freezer. We shopped around and there were no freezers anywhere due to coved 19. So I ordered all of the parts above except for the compressor and for just over $200 the freezer now works just like new. We are extremely happy with the results. For this repair, you will need to know something about a test meter and guess what YouTube has some tutorials for the basics, good luck! I hope this helps. 5 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes
