Craig G North Port , FL August 04, 2015 Appliance: Model MAYTAG NEPTUNE DRYER MODEL MDE6800AYW Nothing on the control panel of the dryer would respond after running one cycle unless it was unplugged for about a half hour then plugged back in again after that the same issue would return After a local (supposedly reputable) local appliance repairman gave up and suggested replacing the entire dryer, I traced all of the control panel buttons out with an ohm meter myself and found that they were all making/breaking properly. Even so, there must have been some sort of short in the panel, as replacing it completely fixed the issue. This was suggested by Jake over at applianceblog.com and I thank him so much for all of his help, which saved me easily hundreds of dollars! His expert advice allowed me to fix this issue myself in about 10 minutes, and he also pointed me here for the replacement part which allowed me to do so. It arrived in less than two days in pristine condition, and worked perfectly.
