It was very easy. First, researched the problem online and found a great video on YouTube which clearly showed the same problems we were having. Went to AppliancePartsPros.com and ordered the new Front Control Panel for about $230 along with a new oven door gasket for about $20 (YouTube video talks about how heat escapes quite easily and it is best to replace the gasket often). To replace the control panel you have to remove 2 side screws (1 on each side likely hidden by the counter) and 4 ratchet screws on the underneath. From there, you just remove the control knobs and 2 screws for each, slide the light indicators that show the burner is on, pop out the little red plastic pieces, unplug the control panel and remove the 4 screws. All-in-all, it takes about 30 minutes and probably saves at least $100 of labor doing it yourself. Additionally, if you have a down draft model, no matter how much Jenn-Air/Whirlpool screwed up the slide in range by putting it close to where the heat escapes, paying out $250 to replace these parts every 4-5 years is still cheaper than $3000 for a new model. Range works perfectly and looks still rather new so not going to spend money to replace the range any time soon if I can help it. Good luck, it is easy and worth the quick repair.
