Reading up on internet I figured out how to get washer into diagnostic mode. With water still in the tub it wouldn't provide an accurate answer so I sucked the water out with a shop vac. When running the test the washer would add water, spin, then just sit there. I could hear that something was humming so it seemed like the washer was trying to do something. After further reading I figured my control panel was good, the signal was getting to the pump and the pump had power, thus the humming noise, so I pulled the washer apart to get to the pump. I pulled it out to find a quarter had gotten into it. That was enough to make it go bad. I ordered a new pump and installed it back into washer. Now it is working great. 13 years old and now still going strong with a $100 fix.
