James M Watertown , CT January 09, 2016 My door handle broke for the second time!!! The top screw is easy to get at after the door yoke is removed. The lower is behind the plate that holds the glass and door together. I removed the door very simple just lift up in the full open position .lay the door on a towel and drill a 1/4 inch hole over the head of the screw and you now can remove the screw with out disassembling the door. Something the factory should have done! Also if your door is sagging it will put stress on the handle. use a adjustable wrench and twist the hinges to get the door lined up .Mine was the lower bent the hinge down and it lined back up and opens very easy. 32 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes
