Ge WB15X10069 Microwave Door Handle OEM Part

The top screw is easy to get at after the door yoke is removed. The lower is behind the plate that holds the glass and door together. I removed the door very simple just lift up in the full open position .lay the door on a towel and drill a 1/4 inch hole over the head of the screw and you now can remove the screw with out disassembling the door. Something the factory should have done! Also if your door is sagging it will put stress on the handle. use a adjustable wrench and twist the hinges to get the door lined up .Mine was the lower bent the hinge down and it lined back up and opens very easy.

Ordered a new handle took off the cover inside door. have to be very careful. Their is plastic tab that break off very easily. Had to take off inner cover also to get to the screws. This microwave was not very well thought out. The housing other screws are made of plastic this handle will break again. Very frustrating. Poor design. But I am enjoying my handle back on my microwave

Ordered the handle from AppliancePartsPros.com then watched this youtube.com video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eRdy7CzznxY and was very careful and fixed it (although I did break a few of the tabs mentioned in the video). :)

It was very hard to get the broken handle off. We were going to pay a technician because we could not figure out how to get the door plates off it get to the handle. It took my husband and myself an hour and only because of the questions and answers and the video on your website were we able to replace the handle ourselves. You have to remove the outer and plate using putty knives. Then remove the six screws on the inner plate and very carefully force this plate off to get to the bottom screw. It was time consuming and hard to hold the door in place as it's an overhead micro/convection oven. We saved about $150.00 using Appliance Parts Pros.

Order the part and watched the video on how to do the repair. My oven wasn't exactly like the one in the video but I felt confident trying the repair anyway with the instructions on the video.
