Had to cut the upper support brackets for the dishwasher as the door, not opening did not allow access to the screws.
Once that was completed I was able to move the washer out and open the door with a screwdriver at the latch. Removed the 4 top screws inside the dishwasher door and pulled off the front control panel. This is where I found the latch was broken.
Went online with the model number I found the part listed on your website. I ordered the part and received it in 3 days. I was very surprised as it said 7 days when I placed the order.
Put in the new part and reinstalled the screws and the dishwasher front panel. I placed a small board across the top at the bracket location to help secure it back in place.
Everything fit back as before and it runs great.
I will say for a small piece of plastic it was quite expensive. But the unit is almost 20 years old.
