R B St Augustine , FL January 28, 2017 Appliance: KitchenAid Dishwasher KUDM25SHBL1 Handle clips broke and washer got locked shut Had to remove the screws that hold the dish washer to the counter top by knocking them out of the counter top. After seeing how the door handle worked I will not have to do again as all you have to do to open is stick a long screw driver up inside and push the chip and it opens. Ordered handle installed it now everything works fine. $29.00 for little plastic handle seems quiet rediculous but Kitchenaid and parts direct where $39.00 so I guess I got a bargain. James M Keyport , NJ January 25, 2015 Broken door handle The repair is very straight forward. Open the dishwasher door and remove the top 4 star key screws and the lower next 2 star key screws. Remove the the control panel by pulling from the top away from the door and the bottom tabs will then come out. Install the door handle and reassemble. Wish I had looked at the site before I took the door apart, it had destruction instructions. Easy install of new part, old part slides to side to remove, slide in new part, reassemble. David M Mcdonough , GA December 18, 2020 Appliance: Model KUDM24SEWH1SEWH3 Dishwasher would not turn on no power at all to the unit I replaced the fuse and that fixed the issue. However, the door handle broke when removing the front panel. I ordered replacement parts that worked perfectly. I would be remiss if I didn't give the APP's customer service a shout-out. I never got the parts that FedEx said they delivered. I called customer service and they sent out a replacement order for the one I never received at no additional cost. Thank you APP!
