Was very easy to remove and replace. Just two clamps for the water hoses, one wire to disconnect and three bolts and the whole pump came out. Easy to get to. I bought the whole assembly since I knew something had jammed in mine and I was afraid that the inside would be damaged so I didn't want to just replace the pump by itself without the housing.
