My symptoms started out as my dryer of my washer dryer combo unit not drying properly. The clothes would come out damper after a dry cycle than after a spin cycle. Eventually the cold water inlet valve assmbly completly failed and water under pressure kept getting dispensed into the detergent area.
After shutting off the water at the pipes and turning power off. I was able to replace the valves. I removed the top from the unit. disconnected the power and water lines. Removed appropriate hoses and leads and replaced the water inlet valves. My cold water valve was the only one to fail. I however decided to replace both while I had the unit open.
