I disassembled my dryer and found that the fan(blower wheel) was "free-spinning" on the motor shaft. A common problem with this model Maytag dryer. I also discovered that the right drum roller (drum support roller) was in the process of failing. Note: the fan drive was frozen on the motor shaft, this was the threaded type of motor and fan assembly. I was able to remove the fan drive by using vice-grip pliers, hammer and a combination wrench to hold motor from turning. Also Note: the fan Assembly/Drive removes by turning "CLOCKWISE". The drum roller was removed by using snap-ring pliers. I vacuumed excessive lint from the interior of the dryer cabinet and reassembled the dryer.
