Starting at the power outlet(verifying proper voltage), and seeing no codes on readout), I went to the heating unit, verifying continuity on the thermistor, and high temp cutout, being good, disconnected those from the heat element, and tested it.
Found the element was open, so I removed that assembly from the dryer, opened it, and found a break in the coil.
Ordered the element, which was shipped immediately, and 4 days later, received the exact replacement unit I needed.
Reinstalled the unit and life was good!
Thank you, AP Pros, you guys rock!
Have never had an issue with any parts from A. P. P., or their service....customer for life, right here!
Afterthought: It was also a perfect opportunity to thoroughly clean the dryer...it was amazing how much crud can hide in the air handling system, and it will be a yearly operation, from now on, to go deep on the cleaning, going forward.
