Ordered new part with help from vendor’s staff.
Removed six Philips screws from the back and removed the rear cover plate. Slid the front of control panel to the right to release it and laid it flat on the dryer top. I did not remove any wires because I wanted to move them one at a time to insure compatibility. After transferring the wires, one at a time, I removed the old timer. It is held in place by a small Torx screw. Snapped the new timer into place and reversed the proceedure.
Everything worked fine.
