Rock K Greencastle , IN January 07, 2019 Appliance: Model BOSCH NEXXT SERIES WASHING MACHINE E13 error on Bosch washing machine I checked online to determine that the E13 error code (this particular code is not in the operating manual) on my Bosch washing machine meant a problem with the drain pump. I cleaned out the pre-filter (which really appeared pretty clean) and it worked for a few loads, however, a few days later I got the E13 error code again, and the drum was full of water. After cleaning out the pre-filter again the error code came up after running the washer empty. I found the replacement pump and assembly on AppliancePartsPros.com, and ordered it. It arrived in just a few days, and was identical to the pump assembly I needed to replace (except the new pump has a drain line to empty the water in the drum if there is a future problem - this will be really helpful as the only way to drain the drum if there is a problem is via the access point which makes a huge mess when opened). Installation was a little tricky, and took me about 4 hours from start to finish. The biggest problem I ran into was the fact that the side of the Bosch washing machine we have is integral to the machine, and holds up the drum. Since I couldn't take the side off, I had to replace the pump through the clean-out access on the front of the machine. This access point is only about 6" in diameter. The suction hose on the pump was the biggest problem as it was very difficult to work with the hose clamp through such a small access point (very difficult to get 2 hands & a pliers into the machine through the hole). After getting the new pump installed I ran an empty load and the pump worked perfectly. We have run a number of loads through the machine in the week since installing the new pump and it appears to be working perfectly. This is certainly a repair that someone with average repair skills can complete themselves. 44 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 2+ hours
