There is a secret tab on the inside rear of the unit that has to be released with a small screwdriver, then the unit slides to the rear to disengage from the top rail, then it is just a matter of unplugging all the wire bundles one at a time to transfer to the new unit and route everything as it once was. I plugged the washer back in just to make sure everything was communicating, which it was, unplugged it again and buttoned it all back together and ooofed it back into place, a final plug in and I was ready to do 4 batches of clothes.
