Description
This is a control board for a washing machine. It interacts with all the integral parts of the appliance. It's located inside the washing machine behind the console that has buttons and information about a wash cycle. Through its connection with other components, it controls and monitors all actions the washing machine takes. If this part malfunctions or becomes damaged, it may prevent the washing machine from running. It could also start and stop, refuse to fill with water, or otherwise stop running correctly.To replace the control board, unplug the power cord and disconnect the water supply. Use a nut driver to unthread the screws holding the top panel. Slide it back and lift it up to disconnect the part. Release the control board through its locking tabs. Note where the wires are located before disconnecting them from the malfunctioning control board. Take the new board and attach all the wires to the terminals. Close the covers and align the assembly to install it into the washing machine.Created for use with Whirlpool washing machines, the control board is sold as a single item.
