Jeff C Carlisle , IN March 19, 2022 Appliance: General Electric Electric Range JT952CF1CC Ge Oven Jt952cf1cc: F9. How to replace Thermal Fuse. Replaced the High Limit Switches for the upper and lower ovens on a 20 year old GE Profile Wall Oven. Bottom oven was shutting off after 20 minutes and sometimes the door would lock. Got an F9 error code. Thought maybe limit switch was bad causing lower oven to over heat. Replaced both switches because I was already in there and not much expense. Did not fix the issue. Removed upper & lower door lock mechanisms. Put the one from the lower oven in the upper oven and visa versa. Problem then occurred in the upper oven. Lower oven worked fine. Have ordered a new door lock mechanism for the lower oven. Hoping that will work… if not we will be cooking in the upper oven only! Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes
