My tenant thought that the oven safety valve was bad, but after some research, I found that the transfer of heat from the igniter had to be sufficient enough to cause the valve to open.Your agent confirmed this and reassured me that even if the igniter was glowing, there was a 99% chance that it wasn't getting hot enough. I ordered the igniter, and also the safety valve just in case, as we were going to be fixing this on Christmas eve, so the oven could be used for Christmas dinner. Your agent assured us that we could return the unused safety valve, and that we had a year to do so. Good thing, because he was correct; we changed the igniter and everything worked.(I'm just getting around to returning the unused valve now.) I would recommend these guys to anyone who owns appliances.
