David L North Bend , WA July 10, 2015 Appliance: General Electric Ice Cube Maker ZDIS15CSSJ Ge Ice Machine Zdis15cssj: Ge monogram icemaker not making ice. How to replace Ice Maker Cutting Grid Assembly. We found that the GE Monogram Under Counter Icemaker (Model ZDIS15CSSJ) in a home we purchased was not making ice. The unit powered on and circulated water, but ice was not appearing in the bin. I found that many of the wires on the grid cutter assembly had been broken. I ordered the replacement part and found a service manual on manualslib-dot-com. The part arrived in less than a week. With the instructions in the manual, I was able to replace the assembly in less than 10 minutes. It worked flawlessly. I expect that I would have paid nearly $1000 for the part and a service technician to do the repair, so I am glad that I simply ordered the part and did the work myself. I saved up to $600 in doing so. 16 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes
