David L North Bend , WA July 10, 2015 Appliance: General Electric Ice Cube Maker ZDIS15CSSJ Ge monogram icemaker not making ice We found that the GE Monogram Under Counter Icemaker (Model ZDIS15CSSJ) in a home we purchased was not making ice. The unit powered on and circulated water, but ice was not appearing in the bin. I found that many of the wires on the grid cutter assembly had been broken. I ordered the replacement part and found a service manual on manualslib-dot-com. The part arrived in less than a week. With the instructions in the manual, I was able to replace the assembly in less than 10 minutes. It worked flawlessly. I expect that I would have paid nearly $1000 for the part and a service technician to do the repair, so I am glad that I simply ordered the part and did the work myself. I saved up to $600 in doing so. Read More... 16 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes Tools: Adjustable Wrench
William S Metairie , LA May 03, 2014 My ge monogram undercounter ice maker stopped making ice After taking it apart with the manual you provided, I found that the cutter grid assembly had a broken wire. I ordered the part form you; it came the next day. I installed it in 5 min and it now works fine. Total cost of the repair and total time were $228 and 10 min. The local GE repair company wanted $99 for the repair call and $699 for the part...not including taxes! I saved over $572 dollars for 10 min work. Thank you. This is the 5th time I have dealt with your company and it is safe to say that you have saved me well over $2400 in the last year alone!
