Rebecca H Linesville , PA May 27, 2015 Appliance: Model 72166339011 The glass tray from the microwave had broken and the interior light bulb was burnt out The tray was an easy fix as I looked up Kenmore Microwave and ordered the replacement. The light bulb was a little trickier as to replace it you must have a special screwdriver that has a 5-pointed bit with a hole in the middle. This is because nothing else is safely serviceable on the microwave. I unplugged the microwave and moved it to my kitchen table to do the work. The entire outside case had to be removed to access the light bulb which is on the upper right side. You must unplug the power wires to the bulb. A little maneuvering got the bulb out as its base is attached. I reversed the procedure to put the new bulb in, then reinstalled the outside case and screws. The light now works and we have a tray, again. CAUTION:DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING ELSE INSIDE THE MICROWAVE AS IT RETAINS POWER FOR A LENGTHY TIME AFTER BEING DISCONNECTED AND YOU DON'T WANT TO MESS WITH THE MICRO-WAVES! 7 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes
