Do-It-Yourself Story

Ordered the new handle. Unscrewed the door at the hinge. The door came apart in two pieces. I used the old mechanism as a template to put the pieces of the new handle together, which was tedious and a bit tricky, but not impossible. I'd say it took about 30 min. to get it put together correctly. Screwed it in and put the two pieces of the door together, screwed the door back onto the hinge and voila! Perfect! The handle was not cheap (no part is anymore), but at least I didn't have to pay for labor and got the satisfaction of doing it myself. Yay! p.s. the part came from the company in less than 48 hours!!
