Our Frigidaire front loading washing machine was purchased about 17 years ago. Subsequently, the door switch/lock set was redesigned requiring installing an upgrade kit 137523400 (AP5630665) involving removing the front lower panel and loosening the rear panel to provide needed access to install an adapter wiring harness. Installation of the upgraded harness to the switch assembly is color to color through the front lower panel. Watch the installation video for replacing the lock assembly and it will make your job far more simple. Remove all the perimeter screws from the back of the machine (this is not mentioned in the included instructions) and shift the back out enough to be able to complete the connection of the upgraded harness. Going in through the back of the machine is not mentioned in the included instructions. Then reassemble per the included instructions and you should be back up and running. The job is not difficult, just a bit time consuming. It worked out GREAT and surely it is FAR cheaper than buying a new front loading washing machine!
