I ordered a new auger motor drive shaft, drive shaft seal, & ice bucket coupling. Parts arrived from Kentucky to my residence in California in 24 hours (I was amazed!!!). I followed clear, simple instructions for installation of drive shaft [http://www.appliancepartspros.com/whirlpool-shaft-assy-motor-wp2188917-ap6006077.html#autoplay]. I took one additional step to reduce likelihood of water leakage/rust in the shaft: I applied food grade white grease liberally in the area near the seal. The ice now ejects properly.
