Thomas W Manassas , VA March 18, 2019 Appliance: Model LFX33975ST (02) LG er 1f error code (ice maker fan) I only needed the Bracket Assembly motor, not the DC Motor or Fan Assembly that I also ordered so I will be sending those back. The repair was extremely straightforward with a few bumps along the way. All told it took me about an hour. I started with shutting off the breaker for the refrigerator and putting all of the frozen food in coolers. Then I removed the drawers and the bracket for the drawer rails on the left side (as your facing the refrigerator). I then proceeded to gently pry off the back panel of the freezer, starting at the upper left corner. It was completely frozen in place so this took a little time. When I was able to partially pull the panel off I saw that it was chunk of ice frozen to the ice maker fan insulation and the wire bundle going to the coils. Once I melted all of that the panel lifted right out after removing the 3 wire connectors in the upper right of the back of the freezer. I then removed the four screws holding the fan in place and some electrical tape holding wires together. Used the same screws to put the new fan in place, and a re-ran and taped the wires. I reinstalled the back panel starting at the bottom and working my way around the bottom left clockwise. Pretty simple work and saved a $100 visit fee. 69 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes
