After my three year old washing machine wouldn't turn the drum anymore and came up with an E6 error code, I started my online research. I found this website and a few people say to try this motor assembly first. I figured it was worth a shot. I ordered the part on Tuesday. It arrived Thursday. To replace this part on an LG top load, all I did was lean the unit back at an angle and held with my left hand and used a socket to take off the two bolts holding it on. Then I took it off and reinstalled the new one.
After that, I simply hooked up the electronic cable I took off, plugged the machine back in and all worked perfectly! Thanks to the reviewers that took the time to let us know about this fix! Without this, I'm sure it Would have been an expensive repair.
