When I looked up LG washer E6 code on the web I saw the tip from LG: unplug the washer and call for service. To me that's a challenge. I saw the AppliancePartsPros.com story on Google, read it and decided to try the solution that worked for other people. A clutch shifter motor that was around $20. I checked a few local appliance parts stores and no one carried the part I needed in stock (even though their websites said available for pickup). I then ordered the part through AppliancePartsPros on a Saturday afternoon and had it at my house before noon Wednesday.
Installed the new part and it's been working great. You are definitely my first place to go for parts (& advice) now. Thank you.
