Edgardo G Mobile , AL August 09, 2016 Microwave did not heat First I watched some DIY videos for familiarization and safety. I bought a 28 Ohms resistor and rigged some wires and aligator clips and discharged the accumulated energy from the capacitor. Took out the magnetron and even when it showed good continuity I discarded it due to sings of been overheated. I reinstalled a new magnetron ( part # w27x10597 ) and a Diode HV Ass ( part # wb27x10682 ) for a total of about $ 143.00 including shipping cost. This price against a quoted price of $ 225.00 for technician showing up plus parts. Mi micro is working like new. Thanks God and the people making the instructing videos 15 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 1-2 hours
