Replaced the motor speed control board.. I also replaced the power cord and attempted to replace the fly ball governor.
1) The fly ball governor did not fiy and the old was was used instead.
2) The strain relief grommet on the new power cord was made for a later model and therefore did not fit but I was able to modify the key hole slot to a straight slot by filing the flanges to cha change the shape. The end result worked perfectly
3) During the replcement and adjusting of the speed control board, I noticed that there is a slight interference between the plastic end of the speed selector that and the opening of the control board where the shift end goes through. The interference is enough to do cause a momentary interruption of the main contacts of the board. Otherwise everything functions as it should.
