We had a noisy dryer that sounded like 2 materials rubbing against each other. I already replaced the drum drive belt, rear drum and idler pulley in 2017.
The noise was coming from the front and an internet blog stated that this involved the front support and bearing slides.
So I replaced the lint chute assembly, drum front bearing and bearing slides and all the noise is gone! Our 15 year old dryer now sounds like new!
