Even though I ordered a new fan which came in four days, it turned out that there was an ice build up just below the box fan that the blades of the fan were hitting. I replaced the fan anyway because I was unsure the condition of the original fan. Everything is quiet again. I tested the original fan and found it was still in good condition. As my wife pointed out, I probably wouldn't have taken the ice maker apart just to check for ice.
Even though I spent nearly two hours trying to figure out how everything came apart and melting the build up of ice. I put it back together in 10 minutes.
