Steve B Ann Arbor , MI May 26, 2015 No panel lights (no error codes) dryer would not start (light on inside when door is opened) Replacing the control board was relatively easy, transferring the cover was the most challenging part. The one hard part of removing the cover was releasing "quad" finger plastic tabs holding the rotary dial trim piece to the old control board. On the old control board, I had to remove the "miniboard" screwed to the main part of the control board, directly behind the rotary knob. Flexing all four tabs at the same time was nearly impossible, but I used a deep 5/8 socket to depress all of them at the same time and release them. Once the finger tabs were depressed, the trim piece separated. I was able to mate the new control board and the cover pretty easily, without doing any disassembly. I'd recommend to double/triple check that all the tabs are clipped in before you reinstall the assembly. (I missed one and had to remove it and reinstall) 2 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes
