Removed water pump and checked the inside assembly. The impeller had fallen off the shaft, when placed it back on it seemed to snap in place. Reinstalled pump in washer and worked for about 5 washer loads of clothes, then happened again. That is when we ordered new pump. We found getting water out of washer was fairly simple by attaching shop vac to drain line. Feel impeller mount is poor design. If had front access to pump would have been easier to replace.
