After finding the service manual online for this series I found that this error code indicated that the water level was never obtained to start the wash cycle. Since I could hear the water being pumped out after the error, it seemed like it must be the level detect sensor. I tried cleaning the internals of the float/optical sensor assembly but it remained unreliable. ApppliancePartsPros had this part in stock at a good price. I ordered on Friday and had it by lunch on Tuesday with standard shipping. After a quick install job everything is working fine.
