I went ahead and replaced the element, thermal fuse and dryer thermistor. I feel like the thermistor is the only part that went out (never fully diagnosed - but it rattled bad), but it all was in the same area and easily replaceable. One note, the OE Thermal fuse is attached to dryer bracket w/rivets. You'll need to drill those out and either reattach the same way or find small screws. Everything works as factory now. Better to spend the $148 (includes shipping) now on all of this than the $500-600 on a new dryer only after 3 years. If you can use a screw driver, you can replace these parts...it was very easy. I took the time and completely removed the lint basket, and all the other pieces and completely cleaned out the machine of all lint...even made $.30 off the deal from loose change!
