Ray B Hamilton , OH January 30, 2015 Spousal inability to properly place silverware in the basket to avoid the holes that developed overtime often resulting in unhappy spousal unit and bent silverware With unbelievable acts of dexterity, acute knowledge of spousal unit, developed over a 25 yr marriage, and 30 plus years of handtool experience, a keen sense of cause and effect, and a flair for the dramatic. Probably 12 or more tools utilized in the opening of the box. Removal and replacement accomplished with the assistance of a 2 ton engine hoist, (perhaps it was overkill), some mig welding, 6 ft of duct tape, and some vise grips to hold it in place. In retrospect it would have been much easier if I would have simply opened the front door of the dishwasher and removed the old basket, (with my left hand), and placed the new basket in the same position with my right hand. This is a very good tip, please share it with your readers. 20 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 2+ hours
