We went through the helpful information on this site to diagnose problems starting with the most common, ended up discovering it was likely our control panel that went out. Replacing it was a simple matter of removing the inside of the dishwasher door, disconnecting the ribbon cable to remove the electrical, and popping in the new one. Only hiccup was that we forgot to switch out the handle from the old control panel and had to go rescue it from the trash when we tried to open the door and realized there was no handle! But it was a five-minute fix to remove inside of door again and screw in the handle.
