Roy M Columbia , SC April 04, 2017 Appliance: Model GE DRYER Timer switch malfunction dial knob and timer knob post stripped Unplugged dryer. Removed 6 screws holding back on dryer. removed wires one at a time from old timer switch then place each wire on new switch in corresponding location (same letter). removed timer switch from dryer base by twisting counter clockwise. Put new wired switch in dyer base twisting clockwise. replaced 6 screws holding back plate on. re-plugged power.
