Replace the ball sensor. Also known as the out of balance sensor . Another confirmatory clue was when I ran the QC diagnostics . The moment I ran the first diagnostic test, the spin test, I got a bE (ball sensor) error code in the display and the drum would rotate slowly. When I replaced the sensor the drum ran at very hig speed the moment I entered the diagnostic. This was a good way to confirm in a few seconds that the sensor fixed the problem without having to run a wash load and waiting about 30 min for the spin cycle to start. Replacing the part took no more than 10 min. Took me about an hour to research and troubleshoot the problem
