How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP4438319 / 4811ER3001A Bracket Assembly

Bought this part... installed it in about 30 min. and washer was up and working. 

I read some stories on here. My problem was very similar. We got the UE error with about 10 mins left in the wash. I reviewed diagram on here for the part and had easiest appliance repair. This was a no headache fix. just screw the top, back and then part. 7 screws in and out. Its that easy. 

I called a service repairman out. His diagnosis was the sensor assembly was bad. He called around 3 hours after he left and said LG had discontinued that model washer, so the part was discontinued too. So I went shopping for a new washer when the store employee recommended I describe the problem and the part to their employee at the parts counter of their store. She said parts are usually still available till the appliance is10 years old. Well he couldn't figure out that part I was describing (because he didn't have the right diagram), so that encouraged me to search online. Oh how I 'm glad I did. I found the part thanks to your website and the great diagram of the washer. Ordered it, received it the next day, my husband installed. Saved us lots of bucks .Love this place !! (service repairman must not no about internet ) 

Replaced the Bracket and Bracket assembly , also replaced the hot water valve above it because it was leaking and the cause of the problem. 

I bought my washer used. From the start, it would throw the UE code occasionally, indicating an unbalanced load. Over time, the error occurred more frequently. The ball sensor is frequently suggested as the cause, but a sensor typically fails completely rather than degrading over time. I disassembled the washer and disconnected one end of each shock absorber. Exercising them manually, it was apparent that one had failed, since it exhibited minimal resistance to motion. Since the shock absorbers are inexpensive, I replaced all three. Also, just to be sure, I spent another $35 and replaced the ball sensor since I had the whole thing apart.
