I called a local repair company and they said that it needed a new control unit. They called back a day or two later and told us that the part was no longer available. I couldn't image that a professional Thermador vent hood would be useless after only 9 years. I checked on line and found the part that was needed and ordered it. The order was processed quickly and efficiently and my wife and I installed the new parts and the hood works just like new.
